This so-called "free advice" can turn out to be quite the pricey deal! Our tradespeople are happiest when focusing on their craft and leaving the design decisions to us. Sometimes, a suggestion might just be the quickest route for them, not necessarily the best for you. And brace yourself - you might end up with hand-me-down ideas from their past projects if you ask for recommendations on finishes and fixtures.

I am all about giving you bang for your buck and making the most of our time together during our meeting. Once you've sent over the payment and we've locked in our meeting date, I'll shoot you my questionnaire. While it's not a must, filling it out before the meeting lets us dive right into your kitchen and bath design dreams and saves on time. Plus, fun fact: 95% of clients love sharing their thoughts through this questionnaire beforehand!
Oh, and don't forget to snap a few pics of your home and share prior to our meeting. It's totally optional, but it does help get me prepped and ready to roll for my chat with you!

During the meeting, if it is a stand-alone consultation, I will provide you with a list of recommendations based on our discussion. This could include paint color specifications, rough hand sketches of kitchen layouts or bathroom tile selections, and additional notes to help you consider my suggestions for your home. If there are specific visuals I mention that would be beneficial for you to see, I might send a follow-up email with links or photos to better illustrate our ideas. If the consultation was to understand your project and gather information for potential design services, I will always outline the next steps in the interior design process.

Every project is different and therefore so will each custom quote! Once we meet at our initial consultation, we can discuss the next steps in creating a plan for your project!

Yes. For full floor redesigns, kitchen plans or bath plans, I provide you with 2 options for layout. I offer 1 revision which includes a maximum of 3 changes to the plans. For example, if you prefer Option A for the layout, but you like one or two specific elements from Option B, then I will try to incorporate those elements from Option B into Option A. If the requests for changes exceed 3 change requests, additional fees may apply.

Yes! All of my design plans will be ready for you to hand to your own contractor and tradesmen. I provide detailed notes to help guide installs without the need for you to pay me for any project management. I will always be available for site visits during project if additional guidance or changes are needed.

I currently provide in-person design assistance all along the Eastern Shore of Virginia, which is where I am located, and Virginia Beach, VA. I also travel to parts of Maryland and Delaware. If you are outside these areas, I also provide virtual kitchen and bath design plans! Contact me for more details!
